Welcome to fishtankkeepers.com !! We have dedicated ourselves to promoting ethical and responsible fish keeping while also realizing that this is an ever evolving hobby with few absolutes. We strive to keep the forum as safe and family-friendly as possible. All members are welcome to share their experiences regardless of success or failures, we believe that with each failure a wealth of knowledge is gained. We also promote ethical and legal disposal of unwanted pets. We feel that having a knowledgeable friendly forum to ask questions without fear of ridicule will help those new to the hobby gain experience and lead them to continue in this hobby. Hey everyone. Things around here have been pretty crazy for the past few months. We just celebrated our 1 year anniversery here at FTK! The first year was pretty rough, but thanks to some great staff, and some faithful users, we pulled through. Things are still looking up around the boards. Some users are sticking with us and traffic is picking up.

Our 4 street team members are doing a great job. They work on getting the word out about the site, and trying to find new members.

Sometimes this place can be a bit hard to keep a handle on. All of the staff is trying to juggle work, or school on top of keeping this place up and running. It gets a little insane sometimes. However, we have some great users who always seem to be on top of things. There have been plenty of times that a spammer got onto the site, and the next thing I know my phone is blowing up because 5 different users have reported the posts. These guys and gals are not being paid (OK, nobody is being paid, LOL). The point is they dont have to do that. So, if it wasnt for good, faithful users..this place probably would not be here now.
